Mrs. Shanine Moore, affectionately known as “Lady Shan”, is the First Lady of First Memorial Baptist Church, where her husband, Dr. Al Moore, serves as pastor. She is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and a passionate advocate for mentoring and continuous learning. She encourages women to educate themselves and to pursue their dreams. Mrs. Moore also holds in high esteem her relationship with the Lord Jesus. She believes that her light should shine, so that others can see her good works and give glory to God! (Matthew 5:16)

 

After years working in Human Resources, Mrs. Moore decided to pursue a business in the retail apparel industry. Mrs. Moore was recognized by the Birmingham Business Journal as a recipient of a 2010 Minority Business Award. She was also the only female finalist in the Executive Leader category for the Wells Fargo Best in Minority Business Award in 2011. Her boutique was recognized as one of the best places to shop by “IN” Birmingham and the Greater Birmingham Convention and Visitors Bureau. In addition to her business, Mrs. Moore and her husband also hosted a weekly online radio show called “Just Prazin” with Al and Shan, which aired on the worxsradio.com, in 2010. The show could be heard around the world.

 

In 2011, Mrs. Moore decided to close her store, to be able to provide more support to her husband’s role as a college dean. Her support also extends to her husband in his pastoral role at First Memorial Baptist Church.

 

Mrs. Moore is a dynamic speaker/presenter, who motivates audiences to dream big and achieve even more, through the anointed Word of God! She also challenges women to study and live by the Word. In 2012, Mrs. Moore, by the appointment of her husband and Pastor, Dr. Al, founded a Women’s Ministry called Glorious Ladies of Worship (GLOW). It has been a phenomenal success and a tremendous outreach as a ministry of FMBC. She is actively involved in the community, as she is a past member of the Alabama Power Service Organization and Hoover Service Club, which sponsors many community/educational organizations. Mrs. Moore gives back to the community through numerous charitable activities, including United Way of Central Alabama, Walker Area Community Foundation and many others.

 

Mrs. Moore is a graduate of John Carroll Catholic High School and The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
